  1. Still alive? It’s been a long time!

    • Yes I am! :-) I have just been snowed under with work, moving, travel and other things. The only thing I’ve still been able to do is keep reading. As a consequence, the blog is on the back burner… Things are starting to settle down, though… Thanks for asking. How are you?

      • Glad to hear it! I’d like to say I’m fine, but in reality I’m back & forth to the docs atm with extreme tiredness. My reading as slowed down as I’m not good for much once I’ve dragged myself through a day at work. Currently awaiting another set of blood results. Other than that I’m fine though. Off down to London for an author ‘do’ tomorrow and I’ve booked my tickets for the Harrograte Crime festival in July… So keeping myself busy!

  2. Oh, so sorry to hear about that! Health is so important, make sure you find out what it is and get better. Nothing’s really important but that… The crime festival sounds great, I always love those – I’m still reading lots of crime novels at the moment, I seem to be in a phase…

    • Hey, how’s you? The crime festival was brilliant, I think you’d have enjoyed it. All the authors and readers mingling in the bar inbetween talks & signings. The doc says I have CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), so I have good days and bad days. I hope you’re well :)

      • So nice to hear from you! The crime festival would definitely have been a hoot. Still reading quite a bit of crime lately and I am working on a story that involves some crime, set in China and tackling the stealing of children issue. However, my writing has taken a setback with many issues and challenges over the last year. Things have now settled (although will have to move house soonish) and I am hoping to have more free time to start writing again, esp something else than plays. I haven’t touched the blog lately, and still not sure what to do with it.
CFS… not cool at all. A friend of mine here in Melbourne was hit with it a few years ago and it did take him quite a while to recover. We could never understand where it came from and why. The good news is that he is totally fine now, it is only a memory, and I hope it’ll be the same with you. Do you still manage to work and read? I know that with CFS everything can just become too hard at times. In any case my thoughts are with you. Fingers crossed you get better soon. x Jerome :-)

  3. I’m sorry to hear your writing has taken a setback, but then life does get in the way sometimes, doesn’t it?! :)

I’m currently still managing to work, though I’m having to take days off every now and then (work are pretty understanding… at the moment!). My reading has taken a hit as I’m often too tired to do anything else once I’m home from work. It’s taken me 2 weeks to read the book I’ve just reviewed, yet it was a fantastic book, it’s just I didn’t have the energy to get it read over a few days. It’s frustrating, but I get good days as well as bad ones… so that’s a bonus I guess!

    I hope you’re well :)

  4. Happy New Year Jerome! All the best for 2013! :)

    • Happy New Year to you too! I hope 2013 brings you better health and everything you wish for. Are you feeling better?
All well on my side, and I plan to resume my posts this year… this year “off” has been really busy on many fronts. I don’t think 2013 will be less busy, but I miss blogging…. Take care!

      • I’m absolutely shattered after a weekend away (shopping & concert), so after struggling through a day of work today, I’ve taken tomorrow off work to rest and get on with some much needed reading.

Looking forward to your blog posts resuming! :)
